Classrooms/Cohorts

As Rivers continues to grow, we will be moving from cohorts to specific classrooms. Currently we have two cohorts...

Infant/Preschool (0-5 Years)

Our Infant/preschool area provides an interactive learning environment for children birth to 5 years old. We will continue to foster their discovery of God through sharing God’s light and love with music, video’s and crafts. 

Elementary (K - 5th Grade)

The elementary years are a crucial time of spiritual exploration and discovery for kids. We will come alongside you and your child to teach the whole story of the Bible in an age-appropriate, engaging way that help our kids know Jesus and find their place in His story.

On Sunday mornings, when you come into River's main entrance, you will be directed toward the left side of the building, where you will find the Cascade check-in area.

Once your child has been checked in, you and your child will get a randomized code printed on their name tag and your claim ticket. The parent sticker will be used to pick up your child after the service. Kids will not be released if the code does not match.

If, for any reason, we need to reach you during the service, we will text you. 

Classrooms open 20 minutes prior to service times. Pick-up will begin immediately after the worship service ends.

We believe families should have the opportunity to worship God together. Your children will stay with you for the first few songs of worship.

At some point during the worship, a slide will appear inviting the kids to go to Cascades. You can walk them to the Kids Area and drop them with the Cascades team. But soon they'll feel at home and they are welcome to go on their own if they are in elementary.

ALL our volunteers are background checked and trained on emergency procedures. We have security measures, onboarding processes, and training for all the leaders who serve in our ministry.

The Kids Area is secured and no one without a sticker tag will be allowed back into the classroom. Pick-up tags are required to pick up children under all circumstances. Please return to the check-in table with your photo ID to reprint a lost tag. We also have a no 1-on-1 policy. This means that at no time should a team member or staff be left alone with a child.
